CARB applications & fee schedule

 All construction, renovations, and signage within CARB's jurisdiction require prior approval. Three application types are available: 

• Preliminary Review (required for all projects to establish general acceptability), 
• Final Review (required for detailed construction approval)
• Sign Approval (required for new or altered signage). 

Applications must include property information, site plans, elevations, material samples, and owner authorization if submitted by an agent. The review process typically takes 45 days from receipt of a complete application. Digital copies of all plans are required, and incomplete applications will be returned without review.

 Application fees are nonrefundable and must be received prior to CARB review of plans. Fees vary by project type and scope, including new construction, additions and major alterations, and supplemental applications such as landscaping, pools, fences, signs, and demolitions.  Current fee amounts are detailed in the fee schedule document below. Fees for unlisted applications will be determined by the Administrator at submission.
